TechnologyThe MCP100T-315I/TT with Supervisor Integrated Circuit is a power on reset monitor (PoR) manufactured by Microchip Technology. This device provides a high accuracy solution for dropout and brownout protection of electronic systems. It is an efficient, reliable, and easy-to-use device that helps protect the system by shutting down power in the event of a pre-defined fault condition. The integrated Thermal Shutdown Output (TSD) helps protect the system from thermal runaway and power overage. The supervisor also integrates a precision voltage detector and allows delay settings from 0.8s to 20s seconds. The MCP100T-315I/TT also includes features such as latching shutdown, adjustable push/pull outputs, an active-high push/pull output, and adjustable thresholds for power-on reset. This device also provides an efficient system protection against drops in system voltage, eliminating the need for expensive and bulky transformers.
