The MCP4728-E/UN digital to analog converter with I2C interface is a compact integrated circuit manufactured by Microchip. This 12-bit quad-channel DAC offers fast conversion rates, automatic detect and configure features, multiple power-down modes, and additional features such as write protect, software reset, and configurable reference voltage. It also operates on a wide 3.0V to 5.5V voltage supply range with guaranteed monotonicity and calibrated outputs. The I2C interface supports up to two devices on the same bus with adjustable current source for both, making it ideal for communication and data acquisition applications. With its low current consumption and small 10-lead MSOP and 8-pin PDIP packages, this DAC can be easily integrated into a variety of applications.
