MIC69301/2/3 Single Supply V , Low V , Low V , 3A IN IN OUT LDO General Description Features The MIC69301/2/3 is the 3A output current member of the Input voltage range: V : 1.65V to 5.5V IN MIC69xxx family of high current, low voltage regulators, Maximum dropout (V V ) of 500mV IN OUT which support currents of 1A, 1.5A, 3A, and 5A. This over temperature family operates from a single low voltage supply, yet offers Adjustable output voltage down to 0.5V high precision and ultra low dropout of 500mV under worst Stable with 10F ceramic output capacitor case conditions. Excellent line and load regulation The MIC69301/2/3 operates from an input voltage of 1.65V to 5.5V. It is designed to drive digital circuits requiring low Logic controlled shutdown voltage at high currents (i.e., PLDs, DSP, microcontroller, Thermal shutdown and current-limit protection etc.). These regulators are available in adjustable and Error flag output fixed output voltages. The adjustable version can support 5-Pin TO-263 output voltages down to 0.5V. 5-Pin S-Pak package The Cap design of the MIC69301/2/3 is optimized for ePad SOIC-8 package stability with low value, low-ESR ceramic output TM capacitors. 12-Pin 4mm x 4mm MLF package (MIC69303 only) Features of the MIC69301/2/3 include thermal shutdown 40C to +125C junction temperature range and current limit protection. Logic enable and error flag pins are also available. Applications The MIC69301/2/3 is offered in TO-263, S-PAK and the Point-of-load applications ePad SOIC-8 packages. The MIC69303 is also available in TM a 12-Pin 4mm x 4mm MLF package. All packages have Industrial power an operating temperature range of 40C to +125C.
