The SS38 Schottky Barrier Diode (SBD) is a high efficiency, low forward voltage drop switching diode. It is packaged in a small surface mount SMA (DO-214AC) case, and is RoHS compliant. The SS38 is manufactured by Microdiode Electronics, and is designed for low noise, fast switching applications. Its low reverse leakage current of approximately 5 nA minimizes power losses and improves performance in high frequency operations, while its high forward voltage and excellent power handling capabilities make it a suitable choice for DC-DC converters, DC-AC inverters, and other power switching applications. The SS38 is available in either a radiation-resistant or enhanced power package, both of which are RoHS complaint.
