MP1497S High-Efficiency, 3A, 16V, 500kHz Synchronous, Step-Down Converter The Future of Analog IC Technology DESCRIPTION FEATURES The MP1497S is a high-frequency, Wide 4.5V-to-16V Operating Input Range synchronous, rectified, step-down switch mode 120m/50m Low R Internal Power DS(ON) converter with built in internal power MOSFETs. MOSFETs It offers a very compact solution to achieve 3A Proprietary Switching-LossReduction continuous output current with excellent load Technique and line regulation over a wide input supply High-Efficiency Synchronous Mode range. The MP1497S has synchronous mode Operation operation for higher efficiency over the output Fixed 500kHz Switching Frequency current load range. Can Synchronize to a 300kHz-to-2MHz External Clock Current-mode operation provides a fast Externally-Programmable Soft-Start transient response and eases loop stabilization. OCP and Hiccup Protective features include over-current Thermal Shutdown protection, thermal shutdown, and external SS Output Adjustable from 0.8V control. Available in an 8-pin TSOT23 Package The MP1497S requires a minimal number of APPLICATIONS readily-available external components and is available in a space-saving 8-pin TSOT23 Notebook Systems and I/O Power package.
