MP2607 Li + LINEAR Charger WithSystem Power Path Management The Future of Analog IC Technology DESCRIPTION FEATURES MP2607 is a highly-integrated single-cell Li- Fully Autonomous Charger for Single-Cell Ion/Li-Polymer battery charger with system Li-Ion/Polymer Batteries power path management function. It takes input Selectable Input Power Sources from AC from either AC adapter or USB port to supply Adapter or USB Port the system and charge the battery Built-in Current Limit for USB Port independently. The charger section features Complete Power Path Management for trickle charge, high-accuracy constant current Simultaneously Powering the System and (CC) and constant voltage (CV) regulation, Charging the Battery charge termination and charge status. 0.75% Charging Voltage Accuracy 12V Maximum Voltage for the Input Source The system power path management function Programmable Charging Current ensures continuous supply to the system by automatically selecting the input, the battery or Built-in Timer for Charge Termination both to power the system. This section features No External Blocking Diode Required a low drop-out regulator from input to system, Tiny QFN14 (3mm x 4mm) Package and a 50m switch from battery to system. APPLICATIONS Power path management separates charging current from system load, which allows proper Smart Handheld Devices charge termination and keeps battery stay fully- Cell Phones, PDAs, MP3 Players charged. It also allows instantaneous power up Digital Cameras, GPS of system with a deeply discharged battery. Handheld Test Equipment MP2607 is available in 14pin 3mm*4mm QFN All MPS parts are lead-free, halogen free, and adhere to the RoHS directive.
