MP6500A 35V, 2.5A Stepper Motor Driver DESCRIPTION FEATURES The MP6500A is a stepper motor driver with a Wide 4.5V to 35V Input Voltage Range built-in translator and current regulation. Two Internal Full-Bridge Drivers Current sensing is internal and requires no Internal Current Sensing and Regulation external sense resistors. High integration and a Low On Resistance (HS: 195m, LS: small package size make the MP6500A a 170m) space-saving and cost-effective solution for No Control Power Supply Required bipolar stepper motor drives. Simple Logic Interface The MP6500A operates from a supply voltage 3.3V and 5V Compatible Logic Supply of up to 35V, and can deliver motor currents up Step Modes from Full-Step to Eighth-Step to 2.5A (depending on PCB design and thermal 2.5A Output Current conditions). The MP6500A can operate a Automatic Current Decay bipolar stepper motor in full-, half-, quarter-, or Over-Current Protection (OCP) eighth-step modes. Internal safety features Input Over-Voltage Protection (OVP) include over-current protection (OCP), input Thermal Shutdown and Under-Voltage over-voltage protection (OVP), under-voltage Lockout (UVLO) Protection lockout (UVLO), and thermal shutdown. Fault Indication Output Available in a Thermally Enhanced TSSOP- The MP6500A is identical to the MP6500, 28 Package except the current setting is accomplished with a voltage input instead of a resistor to ground.
