MP8759 26V, 8A, Low I , High-Current, Q Synchronous, Step-Down Converter The Future of Analog IC Technology DESCRIPTION FEATURES The MP8759 is a fully integrated, high- Wide 4.5V to 26V Operating Input Range frequency, synchronous, rectified, step-down, Output Adjustable from 0.6V switch-mode converter. It offers a very compact Ultrasonic Mode (USM) solution that achieves 8A of continuous output 117 A Low Quiescent Current current and 10A peak output current with 8A Continous Output Current excellent load and line regulation over a wide 10A Peak Output Current input supply range. Adaptive COT for Fast Transient The MP8759 operates with high efficiency over DC Auto-Tune Loop a wide output-current load range based on MPS 1% Reference Voltage proprietary switching loss reduction technique Internal Soft Start and internal low R power MOSFETs. DS(ON) Output Discharge 700kHz Switching Frequency Adaptive constant-on-time (COT) control mode OCP, OVP, UVP (Hiccup), and Thermal provides fast transient response and eases loop Shutdown stabilization. The DC auto-tune loop provides Available in a QFN-12 (2mmx3mm) good load and line regulation. Package Full protection features include over-current limit, APPLICATIONS over-voltage protection (OVP), under-voltage protection (UVP), and thermal shutdown.
