MP8762 High Efficiency, 10A, 18V Synchronous Step-down Converter The Future of Analog IC Technology DESCRIPTION FEATURES The MP8762 is a fully integrated high frequency 2.5V to 18V Operating Input Range with synchronous rectified step-down switch mode External 5V Bias converter. It offers a very compact solution to 4.5V to 18V Operating Input Range with achieve 10A output current over a wide input Internal Bias supply range with excellent load and line 10A Output Current regulation. The MP8762 operates at high Low R (ON) Internal Power MOSFETs DS efficiency over a wide output current load range. Proprietary Switching Loss Reduction Technique The MP8762 adopts Constant-On-Time (COT) Adaptive COT for Ultrafast Transient control mode that provides fast transient Response response and eases loop stabilization. 1% Reference Voltage Over 0C to Operation frequency can be programmed easily +125C Junction Temperature Range from 200kHz to 1MHz by an external resistor Programmable Soft Start Time and keeps nearly constant as input supply Pre-Bias Start up varies by the feedforward compensation. Programmable Switching Frequency from VCC under voltage lockout is internally set at 200kHz to 1MHz 3.8V, but can be increased by programming the Non-latch OCP, OVP Protection and threshold with a resistor network on the enable Thermal Shutdown pin. The output voltage startup ramp is Output Adjustable from 0.611V to 13V controlled by the soft start pin. An open drain power good signal indicates the output is within APPLICATIONS its nominal voltage range. Set-top Boxes Full integrated protection features include OCP, XDSL Modem/DSLAM OVP and thermal shutdown. Small-cell Base Stations Personal Video Recorders The MP8762 requires a minimum number of Flat Panel Television and Monitors readily available standard external components Distributed Power Systems and are available in QFN 3X4 package.
