MP8867 High-Efficiency, 8A, 17V, Synchronous 2 Step-Down Converter with I C Interface The Future of Analog IC Technology DESCRIPTION FEATURES The MP8867 is a high-frequency, synchronous, Wide 4.5V to 17V Operating Input Range rectified, step-down, switch-mode converter 1% Internal Reference Accuracy 2 2 with an I C control interface. It achieves an 8A IC Programmable Reference Output output current with excellent load and line Voltage regulation over a wide input supply range. Reference Voltage Range from 0.6V to 1.87V in 10mV Steps with Slew Rate The reference voltage level is controlled by the 2 Control I C serial interface with an adjustable reference 2 I C Selectable Switching Frequency voltage ranging from 0.6V to 1.87V in 10mV 200kHz to 2MHz Synchronized External steps. The voltage scaling slew rate, the Clock switching frequency, enable/sync, and power 2 OTP and OCP Hiccup Indication via I C save mode are all selectable through the I C 2 2 Selectable PSM and FS through I C interface. Programmable Soft-Start Time Current-mode operation provides a fast Open-Drain Power Good Indicator transient response and eases loop stabilization. Small 3x4mm QFN-14 Package EN/SYNC supports external clock synchronization, and an open-drain power good APPLICATIONS indicates when the output voltage is in the FPGA-Based Systems nominal range.
