MP9488 450V, 300mA, Wide Input, Step-Down Regulator DESCRIPTION FEATURES The MP9488 is a 7.5V to 450V, wide input, 7.5V to 450V Wide Input Range 300mA, step-down converter. The MP9488 is Integrated 500V MOSFET typically used in buck topology, but it can also >500mA Switching Current Limit support buck boost, boost, and flyback topology Peak-Current and Variable Off-Time Control applications, even if the power supply range is Low VCC Operating Current very wide. Frequency Foldback Limited Maximum Frequency The MP9488 employs peak-current and variable-off-time control modes to regulate the Peak Current Compression in Light Load output voltage. It integrates a high-voltage start- Internal High-Voltage Current Source up circuit and one 500V MOSFET. The very Thermal Shutdown (Auto-Restart) simple structure helps achieve low cost and high VCC Under-Voltage Lockout (UVLO) with input voltage. In light-load condition, the MP9488 Hysteresis peak current and switching frequency decrease Timer-Based Overload Protection (OLP) as the load decreases, achieving high efficiency. Short-Circuit Protection (SCP) This makes the MP9488 ideal for scooters, E- Open-Loop Protection bikes, and other civil applications. APPLICATIONS Full protection features include thermal Scooter and E-Bike Control Power Supplies shutdown, VCC under-voltage lockout (UVLO), Solar Energy Systems overload protection (OLP), short-circuit protection (SCP), and open-loop protection.
