NB671L 24V, High Current Synchronous Step-down Converter DESCRIPTION FEATURES The NB671L is the low quiescent current Wide 5.5V to 24V Operating Input Range version of NB671. It is a fully integrated high 6A Continuous Output Current frequency synchronous rectified step-down 9A Peak Output Current switch mode converter, which offers very 120A Quiescent Current compact solutions to achieve 6A continuous Low R (ON) Internal Power MOSFETs DS output current and 9A peak current over a wide Proprietary Switching Loss Reduction input supply range with excellent load and line Technique regulation. The NB671L operates at high 1% Reference Voltage efficiency over a wide output current load range. Internal Soft Start Constant-On-Time (COT) control mode Output Discharge provides fast transient response and eases loop 500kHZ Switching Frequency stabilization. OCP, OVP, UVP Protection and Thermal Shutdown Under voltage lockout is internally set as 4.5 V, Latch off Reset via EN or Power Cycle. An open drain power good signal indicates the Output Adjustable from 0.604V to 5.5V output is within its nominal voltage range. Support 5V Output from 5.5V Input Full protection features include OCP, OVP, and thermal shut down. APPLICATIONS Laptop Computer The converter requires minimum number of external components and is available in QFN16 Tablet PC (3mmx3mm) package. Networking Systems Personal Video Recorders The NB671L is pin-to-pin compatible with Flat Panel Television and Monitors NB671 with a NC pin changed to LP , which is Distributed Power Systems used to receive the power state command from the system.
