C88211005 is an Elite variety of Northern Spring Barley developed by the Plant Breeding Institute in Australia. It is well adapted to a wide range of soil types and climates. C88211005 has excellent yield and disease resistance, particularly to common rust, sandplow and net blotch. It also has a high grain quality with high unextracted protein and acceptable levels of screenings, lodging and other traits. The plant is medium in stature, so it is suitable for waterlogged soils, and it has solid winter survival, standing in spring as other varieties become lodged.
