PCF8593T/1.118 is an 8-pin integrated circuit developed by NXP Semiconductor. It is a real-time clock (RTC) IC that provides clock/calendar and programmable timer functions. It has a built-in low consumption 32 KHz RC oscillator and has 16 bytes of clock/calendar RAM that can be programmed. It is ideal for embedded systems and battery-backed applications. It has fast programming time and a low current consumption making it suitable for battery backed applications. Additionally, it can generate periodic or one-shot interrupts on selected time events. It is available in an 8-pin SOIC-150 package.
