The E3H2-R2B4M-M1 is an Omron inductive proximity sensor. It is a 2-wire, no-amplification, AC, cylindrical shaped, rectangular connector-type sensor. It is designed to detect ferrous and non-ferrous metal objects, including objects with a coating of paint or protective varnish, and can detect a target within 1.2 mm of the sensing surface. This sensors other features include the ability to reverse polarity, short circuit and overload protection, a predictable response time, and extended sensing distance. The maximum sensing distance is 3.2 mm depending upon the target material, making it ideal for use in a wide range of applications.
