This is a part of Omron's XS3F series of programmable safety controllers designed for use in industrial automation environments. It is a M421-405-R model which is a compact, cost-effective and easy-to-use machine safety controller that helps reduce the cost and complexity of controlling safety-related machine functions. The controller offers functionality such as safety input, safety outputs, safety signal monitoring, and programmable safety functions, while also able to connect up to 32 devices through six ports. It is equipped with versatile machine safety signal monitoring, as well as up to six types of protection functions including emergency-stop, interlocking, two-hand control, alternating start control, and sequential interlocking.
