The CAT24M01WI-GT3 is an 8-pin I2C Serial EEPROM manufactured by ON Semiconductor. It has a 1 Mbit capacity and an operating voltage range of 2.7 to 5.5V. The memory array is organized as 128M pages of 16Bytes each and comes in two different package types: SOIC-8 Wide and TSSOP-8. It features a low voltage write protection which prevents inadvertent writes while the power is low. It has a write protect pin which can be used to protect the entire device or individual sectors. It also features improved write cycle endurance of up to 10,000 cycles on data retention of up to 10 years. It is ideal for applications such as Smart cards, access control systems, identification tags, secure authentication systems, and automotive immobilizers.
