To minimize standby power consumption, a proprietary Green-Mode function Line Compensation by Current Limit provides off-time modulation to continuously decrease Low Operating Current: 1.5 mA the switching frequency under light-load conditions. Linearly Decreasing PWM Frequency to 22 kHz Under zero-load and very light-load conditions, with Cycle Skipping FAN6604 saves PWM pulses by enteringdee Burst Mode. Burst Mode enables the power supply to meet Frequency Hopping to Reduce EMI Emission international power conservation requirements. Fixed PWM Frequency: 65 kHz FAN6604 also integrates a frequency-hopping function Peak-Current-Mode Control that helps reduce EMI emission of a power supply with Cycle-by-Cycle Current Limiting minimum line filters. The built-in synchronized slope compensation helps achieve stable peak-current Leading-Edge Blanking (LEB) control. Add in current limit to keep constant output power over universal AC input range. The gate output is Internal Open-Loop Protection clamped at 13 V to protect the external MOSFET from GATE Output Maximum Voltage Clamp: 13 V over-voltage damage. V Under-Voltage Lockout (UVLO) DD Other protection functions include AC input brownout protection with hysteresis, sense pin short-circuit V Over-Voltage Protection (OVP) DD protection, and V over-voltage protection. For over- DD Programmable Over-Temperature Protection (OTP) temperature protection, an external NTC thermistor can Internal Latch Circuit (OVP, OTP) be applied to sense the external switcher s temperature. When V OVP or OTP are activated, an internal latch DD Open-Loop Protection (OLP) Restart for circuit is used to latch-off the controller. The Latch Mode FAN6604MRMX, Latch for FAN6604MLMX is reset when the V supply is removed. DD SENSE Short-Circuit Protection (SSCP) FAN6604 is available in an 8-pin SOP package.
