The MC78PC50NTRG LDO Voltage Regulator is a 5.0V, 150mA CMOS voltage regulator manufactured by ON Semiconductor. The device operates from a 3V to 24V input supply range and is capable of regulating an output voltage from 0.8V up to 1.2 times the input voltage. It offers an ultra-low ground current of 10µA and a low dropout voltage of 145mV at the minimum load of 150mA. This voltage regulator features a noise certification of 155µVrms and a low output noise of 50µVrms at 10kHz. It also offers a wide dynamic voltage range for current-limited protection and a thermal shutdown for over-temperature protection. In addition, it has a current-limited protection circuit which is suitable for low voltage battery applications. Other features of the device include an internal soft-start/current limiter, 2.5MHz switching capability, 50% to 100% duty cycle operation, UVLO (under voltage lock-out) protection, ESD protection, and reverse battery protection.
