NCL30081 Dimmable Quasi-Resonant Primary Side Current-Mode Controller for LED Lighting The NCL30081 is a PWM current mode controller targeting isolated flyback and nonisolated constant current topologies. The controller www.onsemi.com operates in a quasiresonant mode to provide high efficiency. Thanks to a novel control method, the device is able to precisely regulate a constant LED current from the primary side. This removes the need for secondary side feedback circuitry, biasing and an optocoupler. 1 The device is highly integrated with a minimum number of external TSOP6 components. A robust suite of safety protection is built in to simplify SN SUFFIX CASE 318G the design. This device is specifically intended for very compact space efficient designs. It supports step dimming by monitoring the AC line and detecting when the line has been toggled onoffon by the user to MARKING DIAGRAM reduce the light intensity in 5 steps down to 5% dimming.
