The SFH 4248-Z with Infrared Emitters is a high power and highly efficient infrared emitter manufactured by OSRAM. It has a luminous intensity of 5 mW/sr and a half angle of +/- 15 degrees. Its peak wavelength is 940nm and it is capable of emitting up to 30 mW power. It is ideal for high power applications such as security systems, home automation and industrial automation due to its robust and reliable design. It is also compatible with most light sensors as well as microcontrollers and other electronic systems. The device is available in both through-hole and surface mount packages and is available in various sizes.
