PB-HEAVY-D15/50-YL is a type of engineering plastic from the Plastrol Polymer family. It is a polybutylene containing material, designed for superior tensile strength, rigidity, and chemical resistance. The “D15/50” in the name stands for the Shore D Hardness rating, with a 15 durometer rating on the Shore-D scale at 0.50 mm (15/50). It has a tensile strength of up to 6,100 psi and can withstand temperatures up to 250°F. In addition, it has excellent resistance to acids and chemicals, making it well suited for applications in the chemical, pharmaceutical, and food processing industries. It is also a UL 94-V2 flame retardant material. The YL in the name represents the yellow color of the material.
