Ball Caster The POLOLU-2199 is a non-powered, non-bearing ball caster consisting of a molded, semi-flexible plastic housing and a black plastic ball. It is designed to serve as an omni-directional wheel that helps drive small mobile robot platforms. The caster works by harnessing the energy from momentum to steer the robot effectively in different directions. Additionally, the ball of the caster rapidly changes directions in response to changes in the platform’s motion. The POLOLU-2199 is supplied with two mounting plates, making it easy to securely attach it to your robot platform.
