The SMD1812P050TF/60 is a polyester film resistor with over-current protection, designed and manufactured by Polytronics. This electronic part has PTC resettable fuses which will break the circuit when excessive current passes through. The minor dimensions of this PTC fuse mingle well with today's chirpy shapes for devices and boards which give this part an advantage of being used in situations where a “straight leaded component” could not be used.
