Radial magnetization is the process of magnetizing a material along its radial direction, typically perpendicular to its axis. This method is often used with cylindrical parts such as discs, rods and tubes. The process is performed by passing a magnetic field through the material and inducing it with a magnetic field. Once imparted, this magnetization gives the parts a much higher resistance to corrosion, as well as better resistance to mechanical wear and tear. It can also be used to improve the performance of some equipment, such as motors.
