RT4832A 2 Sub PMIC with Dual-Output Boost Converter with I C Interface for Flash LED and Backlight LED, Dual-Output LCD Bias and DSV Features General Description Input Voltage Range : 2.5V to 5.5V The RT4832A is an integrated total power solution for Internal Soft-start, UVLO, OTP, OCP Flash LED Driver, Backlight WLED Driver, and DSV Typical Shutdown Current : < 1A Driver. Flash LED Driver provides up to 2-CH 1.5A 40 to 85C Temperature Range applications. Back Light WLED Driver supports up to 2CH Back Light LED Driver 36V output for 10 WLEDs applications. And it provides Drives Up to 10 WLEDs in Two Strings 1024 steps LED current with logarithmic/linear curve. 2 External PWM Pin Control and I C DSV is implemented by one single inductor boost and Programmable 11 bit Linear and Exponential inverting charge pump, which provide customers Brightness minimum EVB area compared to dual inductors. The LED Current Accuracy 5% (>500A), 3% negative output power (CPOUT) comes from boost (>5mA) output (LCMOUT). It also provides DSV positive 2 I C Programmable OVP 18/22/25/29/33/36V voltage (POS), which power noise is reduce by passing 2CH Flash LED Driver though LDO. Their ranges can be programmed from Torch Mode Current from 25mA to 375mA per 4V to 6V per 50mV step respectively. Flash Boost 25mA Step with 2 Channels Converter operates at 2MHz/4MHz frequency. The Strobe Mode Current from 100mA to 1.5A per 4MHZ frequency solution allows tinny and low-profile 100mA Step with 2 Channels components. Torch Mode Current can be set from 2 I C Programmable Flash Safety Timer from 25mA to 375mA per 25mA step. And Strobe Mode 32ms to 1024ms per 32ms Step Current range is from 100mA to 1.5A per 100mA step. High Accurate Safety Timer 10%, Current DSV drives TFT-LCD panels up to 10 (from SFF to Accuracy 4% (>375mA), Current Matching MFF like tablets). These two output rails are usually 7% (>375mA) connected to Source Driver IC. Wide input voltage VIN Monitor Protection from 2.5V to 3.2V per range from 2.5V to 5.5V optimizes the single-cell 0.1V Step battery applications (Li-Ion, Ni-Li, Li-Polymer) and Selectable Input Current Limit 1.9/2.8A which symmetrical output current is up to 80mA. 2MHz/4MHz Switching Frequency for Flash LED The RT4832A provides complete protection such as Flash LED1/2 Short Protection, and Output VIN under voltage lockout, Vin monitor protection, over Short Protection current protection, over voltage protection, LED short Txmask Protection by Independent Pin protection, VOUT short protection and over DSV 2 temperature protection.
