The RT8251GSP is a single-phase, synchronous, step-down DC/DC power converter from Richtek Technology Corporation. It is designed for high efficiency, small size, and simple implementation. The RT8251GSP features a high input voltage range up to an impressive 32 V, with a fixed output voltage down to 0.8 V for tight regulation. It can provide up to 1.3 A of output current, making it ideal for powering processors, FPGAs and other demanding loads. The switching frequency of the device can be adjusted from 333 kHz up to 1 MHz, allowing the user to minimize external components while ensuring maximum system efficiency. The RT8251GSP integrates over-temperature protection, over-current protection, short-circuit protection, and will continue to regulate the output under heavy load transients.
