The Sharp PT4800FE000F is a phototransistor with a black lens, manufactured by Sharp Electronics. It is designed to detect infrared (IR) light with a peak sensitivity range of 860 nanometers (nm). The transistor contains a photodiode, amplifier, and high current output transistor, and is designed for optical switching and signal amplification applications such as counting, automation, and position sensing. It has an operating voltage range of 4.5 - 10 volts, and can be used in either switch or linear (analog) operation. The package is a 6-pin DIP available in either through hole or SMT mounting.
