1. Siemens CEC 836 is a digital Industrial Ethernet switch developed and manufactured by Siemens. It is designed to be rugged and reliable and is used in a variety of industrial environments. It offers network redundancy, flexible management options, and port security.
2. The 836 features eight 10/100 Mbps ports, eight 10/100/1000 Mbps ports and two 1000 Mbps combo ports for redundant power or fiber optic links. Each port has configurable media access control (MDC) and secure access control list (ACL) settings.
3. The 836 also offers a range of management options including remote management through a web-based user interface, an extensive command line interface, SNMP, and Telnet. Features such as Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) traps, VLAN support, port mirroring and monitoring provide for an efficient and secure management of the network.
