The PTF/70 is an attached, heavy loading, vertical clearance, tunnel guard designed and manufactured by Stelvio Kontek. It is designed to provide extra protection around the tunnel entrance, maximizing the safety of users. This guard is built of thick steel plates, to ensure it can withstand heavy loadings, and features an adjustable height of up to 1.5 meters. This allows it to be adapted to the needs of any tunnel type and size. The PTF/70 guard includes a fixed base and is secured to the tunnel entrance using base anchors. It also includes an adjustable safety closure system that is controlled from the inside via a hand crank, which serves as a fail-safe protection device. This system prevents any unauthorized access and provides a clear warning to anyone in its path. Additionally, the guard includes a reflective yellow painting on its upper part, making it prominent and recognizable even in low light conditions.
