The ACST1635-8FP is an advanced smartcard, secure microcontroller manufactured by STMicroelectronics. It is targeted for secure contactless and contact applications, such as debit and credit cards, identity management and secure authentication. The device is based on the ARM Cortex-M3 CPU, which provides support for security features, such as secure passwords, digital signatures and encryption of data. The ACST1635-8FP also features an on-board RF transceiver which allows for contactless data transfer up to a distance of 10 cm. It has a small
