The STMicroelectronics ACST830-8FP is a device designed to protect electronic circuits from overvoltage transients. It is a triple-channel overvoltage triac static device that provides differential dV/dt protection of up to 2000 V and is rated for 4.0 A continuous current per channel. It also includes built-in overvoltage protection for each channel and short circuit protection for all outputs. This device is designed for AC applications and is suitable for residential and industrial control systems, such as HVAC systems. It has small form factor – 170 mm2 – making it ideal for space-constrained applications, and is also RoHS compliant, meeting all applicable environmental regulations.
