The M95256-DRMN3TP/K is an auto 256Kb SPI bus EEPROM (electrically erasable programmable read-only memory) manufactured by STMicroelectronics. The device is an 8-pin plastic dual-in-line memory package with an operating voltage range from 1.8 to 5.5V. It is pin and software compatible with earlier parts which used 6 bit addresses and used the SOIC-8 package. It also has an erase/write cycle that is 10,000 times faster than earlier EEPROMs, with write time of no more than 10 milliseconds. The device supports Standard/Dual/Quad SPI, and a high clock frequency of 15 MHz for read/write. It also features additional memory protection with the block write protection which enables content to be protected from accidental changes as well as the integrated hardware write protection latch which prevents write operations. Additionally, it is RoHS and Halogen-free compliant.
