VN800S VN800PT High-side driver Features Type R I V DS(on) OUT CC VN800S 135 m 0.7 A 36 V SO-8 PPAK VN800PT CMOS-compatible input Description Thermal shutdown The VN800S and VN800PT are monolithic Current limitation devices designed in STMicroelectronics VIPower M0-3 technology. The VN800S and VN800PT are Shorted load protection intended for driving any type of load with one side Under-voltage and over-voltage shutdown connected to ground. The active V pin voltage CC Protection against loss of ground clamp protects the device against low energy spikes (see ISO7637 transient compatibility Very low standby current table). Reverse battery protected (see Application schematic ) Active current limitation combined with thermal shutdown and automatic restart protects the device against overload. The device automatically turns off in the case where the ground pin becomes disconnected. This device is especially suitable for industrial applications in norms conformity with IEC1131 (programmable controllers international standard). Table 1.
