The CD40107BM96 is a Dual 2-Input NAND Buffer/Driver, utilizing CMOS logic gates, manufactured by Texas Instruments. It is used to convert TTL logic levels to CMOS, thus preventing current operational problems. The device has two independent NAND Buffers/Drivers, each with independent logic inputs and outputs. These separate inputs and outputs allow two separate functions to be achieved and provide the flexibility to switch between them. The CD40107BM96 can also be used as a voltage level translator, making it an ideal device for interfacing with systems operating at different levels of logic voltage. The outputs are capable of sinking up to 24mA of current, providing sufficient power to drive CMOS logic inputs. The device also has built-in high ESD protection on all pins, with an ESD rating of 2kV Human Body Model (HBM).
