The CD4094BE is an 8-stage shift register and storage device from Texas Instruments. It is a Advanced CMOS version of the Muscat 4094 chip family. It is a serial-based shift-out data storage device and can be used to extend data storage for test, measurement and machinery systems. The device is provided in a 14-lead dual-in-line (DIP) package and can accept input/output (I/O), receive data in serial form and output data in serial or parallel form. It can store up to 8-bits of data in 8 individual bit-cells, with 8 parallel input/output ports, and provides an internal clock generator. The device is ideal for data manipulation, communication interface and control applications, and can accept virtually any logic family input.
