The LM2594MX-5.0/NOPB is a step-down switching voltage regulator manufactured by Texas Instruments. It provides a constant output voltage of 5.0 volts when fed with an input voltage in the range of 3.5 to 40 volts. It is able to handle a maximum of 0.5 amp of output current. This device has a maximum frequency of 150 kHz and it provides excellent load and line regulation. This device includes a wide range of features, including current limiting, over-temperature protection and short-circuit protection. It is available in two packages, either DPAK or the SOT-223. The LM2594MX-5.0/NOPB is optimized for use in low-noise, low-EMI, and high-efficiency applications. These include telecom, industrial, and consumer equipment, as well as laptops, set-top boxes, and LED drivers.
