The LM2596T-5.0/NOPB switching voltage regulator by Texas Instruments is an ultra-small, high-efficiency DC-to-DC converter. It provides adjustable outputs from a 2.25V to 36V range, allowing flexibility to design a regulated power supply circuit suited to a variety of applications. With a maximum output current of 3A, a full range of protections such as over-current protection, over-temperature protection, and short-circuit protection, the LM2596T-5.0/NOPB is an ideal choice for high power applications. The switching frequency of this device is 150KHz, making it suitable for many audio and regulator designs. The LM2596T is a thermally efficient TTL-compatible PWM controller with an operating temperature range of -40°C to +125°C.
