The PGA205BU with Instrumentation Amplifiers Programmable Gain Instrumentation Amp is a precision analog signal amplifier designed for use in signal conditioning applications, such as medical instrumentation, data acquisition systems, motor control systems and test and measurement applications. The amplifier is made by Texas Instruments. The amplifier features an all-around performance with its low offset voltage, low input bias currents, and low input voltage noise. It has a maximum gain-set range of 0 to +128 dB, an input impedance of greater than 5 kO, and a 3-MHz gain-bandwidth product. The amplifier also includes an output Short Circuit Protection feature which protects against supply current spikes or shorts on the output. Additionally, there are several different gain options available, including binary-programmable and resistor-programmable gains, enabling the user to finely adjust the gain to meet the needs of their specific application. Finally, the amplifier is available in a surface mount package for easy integration into existing designs.
