The TPS82140SILR DC/DC converter from Texas Instruments is a non-isolated synchronous step-down microSiP module that operates from an input voltage of 17 V and can deliver up to 2 A of output current. Its integrated inductor saves space and reduces external components. The module is rated for temperatures of -40 to 125°C and has a U-shaped layout for improved thermal performance. It also has an adjustable operating frequency, fast transient response, and quad N-channel MOSFETs. The circuit protection features are short-circuit protection (SCP), overcurrent protection (OCP), overtemperature protection (OTP), and undervoltage lockout (UVLO).
