The TM7780 with SOP-8 is an energy metering Integrated Circuit (IC) manufactured by Titan Micro. It is RoHS compliant and designed to measure single-phase active energy consumption in both residential and commercial environments. This energy metering IC integrates voltage and current sensing, signal conditioning, power computation and communication capabilities in a single component. With an operating temperature range between -20°C to +85°C, it can be used in a variety of applications such as energy management, HVAC, home appliances and lighting systems. The TM7780 supports a wide-range of communication protocols, including Modbus RTU, BACnet, and M-Bus. It is designed with Hall effect Current Sensors as well as high-accuracy Voltage Sensing ensuring precision measurement up to Class 1 requirements. It also includes an embedded A/D converter and temperature sensor providing unrestricted access to present energy consumption and temperature information.
