It is designed to provide a highly precise regulated output voltage of 9V with low dropout voltage and very tight line and load regulation over a wide range of temperature and load conditions. Features of the 78D09LL-TN3-R include high power dissipation, up to 1.5A of output current, high ripple rejection, excellent protection against short circuit conditions, an input voltage range from 6V to 22V, and an operating temperature range of -40°C to +125°C. The device also has an excellent thermal performance, with a thermal resistance of 0.4°C/W.
