Additional Infomation About Product

Videk was a widely used East German home computer from 1962 to 1976. It was a primitive machine featuring two parts: an upper part and a lower part. The upper part of the Videk computer was the input device, which included a numerical keypad, a printer, and a display monitor. The keypad was used to input data and the printer was used to generate printed output. The display monitor was used to display result of running a program or inputted data. The lower part of the Videk computer was the main processor. It consisted of eight transistors and two core memory chips, each containing 512 bytes of RAM. It was powered by two batteries and had a clock speed of 500 kHz. Programs were stored in read-only memory (ROM) and had to be loaded manually by typing in the code.
