(Vishay 70HFR120): The 70HFR120 is a surface mount, fast recovery diode from Vishay. It is constructed with a silicon chip mounted on an epoxy resin substrate. The diode is ideal for use in high frequency, high current applications such as power switching and rectification. The rated power is 175 Watts at a maximum of 260 volts. It features a fast reverse recovery time of up to 170 nanoseconds and a high forward surge current of up to 120 Amps. With its low thermal resistance, the 70HFR120 is designed to provide a low thermal stress on application circuits.
