Additional Infomation About Product

CNY66B is a phototransistor optocoupler manufactured by Vishay. It is used for the isolation of signals between two different circuits. The optocoupler has an LED emitting light that is received by a photosensitive transistor on the opposite side. When the LED is illuminated, the resulting current in the transistor causes it to turn on. This design provides isolation between the two circuits and also helps to protect sensitive circuits from electrical spikes. The CNY66B is packaged in a 4-pin DIP package and is available in single and dual channel versions.
