The SFH615A-1 is a type of optocoupler from Vishay. It is a single channel HF GaAs Infrared Device with a transistor output. The device consists of a gallium arsenide infrared emitting diode optically coupled to a monolithic silicon detector. Features of this optocoupler include high insulation resistance, low power operation, low input current, wide compressive current range, high gain, and direct drive capability. This optocoupler is suitable for a variety of AC and DC control applications, such as interfacing microcontrollers to higher voltage signals, signal and data communication lines, and isolated power supplies. The device operates on a 4.5V to 12V supply voltage, at a temperature range of -40 to 85°C. It is available in the industry-standard 4-pin SOP package.
