The transceiver module consists of a PIN soldering to side and top view orientation photodiode, an infrared emitter (IRED), and a low-power control IC to provide a total front-end solution in a single Directly interfaces with various super I/O and encoder / package. decoder devices This device covers an extended IrDA low power range of Tri-state-receiver output, floating in shut down with a close to 1 m. With an external current control resistor the weak pull-up current can be adjusted for shorter ranges.
