SemiconductorVEML3328 is an optical sensing device specifically designed for RGB color and ambient light applications with a photo IC sensor, RGBCIR color sensor and I2C bus OPLGA4. Manufactured by Vishay Semiconductor, the device offers a very low current mode in standby mode and a fast response time. It comes with a 16-bit digital output, programmable interrupt function, 0.2 lux to 256K lux dynamic range, 5 lux resolution, and excellent ambient light rejection. It operates up to 1.2 V and provides an output active signal that is proportional to the intensity of visible light incident upon it. VEML3328 is capable of operating in both indoor and outdoor lighting applications and is ideal for mobile devices and backlit displays.
