The SMBJ6.0CAJ is an ESD Suppressor/TVS Diode from WeEn Semiconductors. It is a 2-Pin Standard Mark SMD package designed for surface mounting; it is also referred to as a SMBJ (Surface Mount Breakdown Junction). It is a unidirectional (working) device that is designed to protect sensitive electronics or ICs from Electro-Static Damage. The ESD protection devices supplies ESD protection and operates in a voltage range of 6.0 (Volts) up to 50 Volts. The device features an IEC ESD Air/Contact 8kV rating and provides excellent protection levels of up to 400 Watts of peak energy. The diode has a low clamping voltage and is suitable for low-signal applications from several milliamps to 100 mA. It has a rapid response time and reverse leakage current is only 500uA.
