The WS2812B is a type of addressable RGB LED manufactured by WorldSemi. It contains a tiny control IC embedded within the LED package. This IC allows the LED to be set to any color by sending it a simple, one-wire command. This LED is often referred to as an "intelligent" LED as it is capable of performing functions such as pulse-width modulation (PWM) and other advanced lighting effects. It is also compatible with the popular Arduino and Raspberry Pi platforms.
